Abstract

This article proposes to examine the ideas of Hans-Georg Gadamer and their contributions to the study of teacher education. The hermeneutic perspective in understanding the teaching proves to be relevant, because it allows the construction of interpretive horizons about himself and the other, as well as the necessary clarification on the production of meanings about being a teacher and the act of educating. In the educational field, it is understood that teacher training can be thought of as a hermeneutic relation, hence a relation of production of meaning and thus the training of teachers, a practice that understands and interprets, reveals and makes sense, would be helping to broaden the horizons of understanding about the relationships established in the pedagogical relationship.
