In the last decades, the idea of gender has undergone an overwhelming questioning, initially part of the structuralist critic and later of the postmodern thought, for which this type of discussion has become something anachronistic, if not irrelevant. Maurice Blanchot (1959), for example, argued in his own time that the only really important things are works in their individuality, regardless of how we can classify them ("everything happens as if the genres had disappeared and only literature was Affirmed ...
