Resumen

El abordaje de Usos y Gratificaciones (U&G) posee una tradición influente en la pesquisa de audiencia, al tratar de los aspectos que llevan al receptor a seleccionar y a exponerse a los diferentes medios y contenidos de comunicación. El presupuesto básico de su proposición es que, a través de las experiencias y reflexiones de la audiencia sobre los contenidos de las medias, ella relaciona cuáles materiales le son gratificantes o útiles. Por cierto, el modelo de U&G se expandió de tal forma que ya no se habla de una teoría de U&G, pero sí de un esquema de multiteorías. El presente artículo señala el “estado del arte” de este importante referencial, apuntando sus formulaciones principales, evidenciadas por el uso del método de revisión de literatura, así como de los resultados de una investigación bibliomética.

Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, com atuação no curso de Publicidade e Propaganda e no Programa de Pós-graduação em Comunicação. Publicitária, doutora pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2011), e mestre pela Universidade Metodista de São Paulo (2003).
