The Graduate Program in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS is completing 50 years! To celebrate this important date, 50 years of activities with a prominent role in Brazilian postgraduate studies in this period, interviews were organized with important characters in this history. The objective of these interviews is to refer to the historical commitment of this Program, knowing a little more about its training proposal, its Lines of Research and its intellectual production over these five decades. The interview reported in this text has the purpose of promoting a space for reflection based on the dialogue with Maria Isabel da Cunha, one of the first students of the Master’s Course, seeking to understand her trajectory, entry and relationship with the PPGEdu at PUCRS during all these years. years old.
