Abstract

In this article, I explore some articulations between the systemic perspective on resilience, the notion of social learning and the school system, from which new and meaningful theoretical and practical possibilities emerge. The first one corresponds to the transition from a linear and reductionist approach that focuses on economic development to a systemic perspective that prioritizes socioecological resilience. The second possibility proposes social learning as a fundamental process for achieving collective changes in comprehension and action. Finally, the third emerging horizon refers to the bond between school and territory by means of reinforcing and transforming the school’s role as a centre of dynamic stability, articulation between knowledge and practices, and as a centre of learning for present and future stewards.
