Indigenous theme in books PNBE has selected: analyses and reflections
Keywords:
PNBE, children’s literature, indigenous peoplesAbstract
The work draws on reflections about the increasing Indigenous populations in the social panorama and about including the Indigenous themes in the Brazilian children’s literature. Based on this scenery, we have analysed six works PNBE selected in 2008 and 2012 to make up the collection of the initial years in the primary school and childhood education. The works included prose narratives, comic books, and picture and poem narratives. The analysis showed the continuity of trends other studies have already found, such as the exploration of Indigenous oral narratives synthesised and presented as short stories, folktales and popular myths, making allusion to different peoples’contribution for national identity and culture; showed the close relation between the Indigenous and nature and the preoccupation of teaching about the Indigenous culture and peculiarities.Downloads
