O artigo analisa a importância do Monte das Oliveiras em Lucas–Atos sob uma perspectiva pragmalinguística, destacando seu papel narrativo e teológico. Utilizando conceitos como leitor-modelo e enciclopédia, o texto explora como Lucas emprega esse local para retomar eventos do Primeiro Testamento, de modo a delinear a identidade messiânica de Jesus e estruturar eventos-chave de sua vida, como a oração no Getsêmani e a ascensão. O estudo revela que o Monte das Oliveiras é um espaço teológico de transição, conectando o cumprimento das promessas divinas no Messias ao futuro da igreja. Assim, o artigo contribui para a compreensão da teologia lucana, enfatizando a continuidade entre o passado bíblico, a obra de Cristo e a missão do discipulado cristão.
