This article investigates the technological changes in newscast’s editing in film’s, magnetic tape’s, and digital editing system’s periods and the consequent changes in image language. It discusses how theediting’s journey is done and how technology affects the discourse’s construction process. This study considers that one of the main changes brought by the editing’s evolution was the speed of image causing modifications in the language and information content. The methodology is support bybibliographical studies about image, cinema, television and by the experience of professionals who worked with this three editing systems already used by television.Downloads
