As a cultural and social phenomenon, communication never ceases to grow. Claiming that we are living in the Communication Society is far from a cliché. Dominique Wolton, in any case, insists on pondering whether we are in a Communication or in an Information Society. What is the real difference between these two related words? After all, communication always informs and information always communicates. Is communication an "episteme", an imaginary, the spirit of our time, an ideology? Could information be technical data?
