We seek to understand the automatism transformation in photography and its relations with digital devices in the view of the development of the Internet of Things (IoT). We aim to delineate the networks responsible to operate the automated image production. From the Actor-Network Theory, we show the history of automatism in photography, from artisanal to digital procedures and IoT phase. We develop, from diagrams of “actants”, types of mediation and delegation of the automatism in the photographic process.
