The relation between the visible and the invisible: the subject and the media summons

Abstract

In the work Biopolitical Convocations of the communicational devices, the author José Luiz Aidar Prado, Ph.D. in Communication and Semiotics and Professor of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, discusses the relationship between the devices of biopolitics and the media, based on concepts such as Philosophy, Psychoanalysis, Sociology, Linguistics and Semiotics. Prado joins the different areas of knowledge to verify the role of the media both in the field of communication and in contemporary society.
