The role of national news agencies as distributors of content within the Brazilian conglomerates of media

This article presents the results of a research on the routine production of the three national news agencies – Estado, O Globo and Folhapress – that integrate the major Brazilian conglomerates of media. From of the Sociology of Newsrooms, the study shows the procedures for distribution of news content on these services, under the logic of product’s reuse within their communication groups. The article also presents a media funnel in 10 regional newspapers located in major Brazilian cities.Downloads
