Teaching learning in initial teacher training: Pibid/Pedagogy contributions

PIBID/CAPES (Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência/Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) is the Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarships supported by Coordination for Improvement of Higher Education Personnel. The program constitutes itself in a privileged forum for the student’s formation in licenciature providing an interrelationship between theory and practical necessary to the teaching profession. This study present reflexions on the program contributions to the teacher initial formation specifically for Pedagogy course. It was used a quali-quantitative research, case study type, including questionnaires answered by twenty-three among thirty students of teacher initiation (ID) of Pedagogy Subproject of Higher Education Institution community and philanthropic. This tool makes part of institutional self-evaluation process for investigating the impacts of projects on students’ formation developed at the institution. Seven multiple choice questions regarding the professional development of the scholarship holders of ID were analyzed; according to academic answers, the PIBID contribution factors could be grouped in the following categories: theory-practical relationship; knowledge production incentive from the practice; continuous formation interest and interrelationship between knowledge areas. Furthermore, all aspects were perceived in a conscious way by students, evidencing that PIBID also contribute for the student maturity and future profession practice.
