This study is part of the context initial learning and teaching of reading and writing to evaluate software indicated for cases of learning below expectations. This study is configured as an experimental study of two groups divided randomly and evaluated by pre-testing and post- esting, considering two variables: performance in reading and writing. Each group was submitted for one of the pedagogical tools for a month, 30 minutes per day, totaling 10 hours per informant. The results indicate that the software were effective, especially with students with smallest results in the pretest, which justifies the recommendation of these tools as additional support in literacy process for students with learning less than expected for their age. We observed that the software, exploring phonological awareness activities, cause change in an expensive language level for our writing system, phonological level, and this influences other linguistic levels and cognitively favors the acquisition and initial learning of reading and writing.Downloads
