Foi pesquisadora pós-doutoral (PNPD/CAPES), professora colaboradora no Programa de Pós-graduação em História da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), e pesquisadora visitante no Colégio de México e no Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) da Georgetown University. Diretora da Oliveira Lima Library e professora do Departamento de Sociologia na Catholic University of America.
