The visual Arts escenery in Chile during the XX century was strongly marked by a group of expositions of art that, due to its importance and proposals, had the capacity of showing important changes in the national art. Some, as the 1910´s
, were by its symbolic and oficial characteristics that they had – besides the presence of a great number of countries –, and because of the fact of giving solemenity to the conmemorative activities of the first Centenary of the national Independence. Others, as the Montparnasse group, Tótila Albert´s and Manet`s till today, because they brought and set new concepts and aesthetic debates in the country.
