Spimes texts: creating new trails in the route of textual linguistics

The investigations on the ‘text’ and its concept have influenced countless discussions in the academic surroundings, becoming a complex theme and no consensual among the experts of this field, mainly with the appearing of the technological texts. The aim of this article is to discuss what the technological advance reserves for the field of the Textual Linguistics with the emergency of the texts as spimes (JOHNSON-EILOLA, 2010). Technically, spimes – a neologism of the author, begins and finishes as data. Spimes are maintainable, refined, with a single identity and made of substances that can be returned to the chain of production of other futures spimes. In the context of functionality of the text, spime, man and machine can be understood as agentive beings.Downloads
