The presence of hygienist and compensatory ideas for education of early-childhood teachers

Abstract

This article tells about some aspects of research made with teachers of Normal Course and Pedagogy Course, educators of teachers for Early-Childhood Education, in which they reveal their conceptions about day-care center and pre school education, about the pedagogical practices carried in these institutions and, the relation with the families and about the contribution of the these courses for the formation of teachers to zero up to six years old children. Through open interview done with the teachers was possible to verify the permanence of ideas from the hygienist movement and the cultural privation theories in the formation of the current educators in the Early-Childhood Education Program, despite the theoretical advances in thie area.
