The related research has as its main theme the teaching environment in the training career of university teachers within a community’s university, selected considering the experience time and the stages of adulthood. We used the self biographical reconstruction through oral narrative and through textual discourse analysis. The highlights are the three main interpretative teaching environments and their relation with the career of a teacher’s training: significant experiences as a person and as a professional while continuing his or her own education, resources and strategies that allowed the entry and accredit the teacher to work in higher education, and significant experiences in the academic environment. These refer to the construct of the teacher’s environment as a dialectical unity that reflects the impact of objective conditions, subjective and intersubjective on teaching and, consequently, related to the professional development of teachers.Downloads
