Antidiskriminierungspolitik in kulturellpluralistischen Gesellschaften: Warum man aus einer liberalen Perspektive kaum kulturelle Rechte braucht

Abstract

According to this paper many of the usually discussed cases in the multicultural debates are mistakenly understood as cultural conflicts that should be resolved by cultural rights. Instead of that we find the universalistic liberal aspiration for equality of opportunities at their basis. From the liberal equalitarian point of view the implementation of effective antidiscriminatory policies is the right strategy to deal with these cases. The paper focuses on cases of access to jobs and education.
