The Church on the way, in communication

Abstract

In the ecclesiastical history concerning the theme of communication, the Catholic Church hás always considered it as na important element to be included in its specificity. And the church documents reveal the evolution of the thought in teaching in the área of communication, which passed through several stages of “mistrust”, “acceptance”, in short the understanding of the need for dialogue between faith and culture. Currently, it is a great effort to adapt the language, but above all, the change in mentality, as we enter a new process of communication in our society, which requires the passage of the simple transmission of faith to na interactive-participatory model. A challenge for evangelization.
