The role of the Holy Spirit in the Church received a fundamental clarification during the II Vatican Council. In this study, the main renovated aspects are indicated, among which Paraclete’s structuring role as a leader, together with Christ, in the sacramentum salutis. In this way, one can try to find a better solution to the question of the relationship between charisma and institution in the Church, which has frequently been the target of very different readings, which vevertheless are still capable of an enrichment. The presentation of the doctrine of Congar on the relationship between the Spirit and the Church, very different before and after the Council assembly, shows in an exemplary way the slowness of the reception and the ways found by a theologian who became interested in the subject “charisma-institution”.Downloads
