Abstract

The article exposes the self-understanding of the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (ECLCB). After situating its identity from its Constitution, it analyzes the existing models of ecclesiology and the need for a continuation of ecumenical dialogue in view, at least, of the revocation of mutual anathemas. It ends with an approach to the challenge of pluralism to the ECLCB in a global world.
