Abstract

In the face of a society marked by indifference, invisible suffering, and the logic of efficiency, care has been increasingly understood not as a secondary practice, but as a relational, spiritual, and prophetic path. Based on an exploratory theoretical and interdisciplinary approach, authors such as Boff (1999) and Tronto (1993), along with the magisterium of Pope Francis, are brought into dialogue to articulate elements that allow for the establishment of a hermeneutic to understand how communication that listens, welcomes, sustains, and generates meaning is capable of building and restoring bonds, as well as promoting dignity. This is a reflective proposal on the ethics and practice of care as a theological foundation of communication.
