Abstract

The story of Micah, told in chapters 17 and 18 of the Book of Judges, has an uncertain chronology; however, the story is placed after the story of Samson. The narrative begins with Micah stealing 1,100 shekels of silver from his mother, an act that may have triggered a series of curses and misfortunes for the protagonist. The chapters offer a portrait of the chaotic and disorderly state of Israel during the time of the judges, highlighting the disrespect for divine commandments and the misuse of religious symbols by its leaders in bad faith. The objective of the article is to weave dialogues with unconventional debates, which can and should be discussed beyond idolatry, such as malicious leadership. Finally, a fictional cinematic scene is proposed with dialogues of the characters, illustrating the text.
