Digital media as an instrument of visibility for the poor

Abstract

The expression of the religious element in digital media has become a phenomenon that must be urgently and continuously understood.  It is from this perspective that, in the light of research carried out by the Nucleus of Communication and Theology Studies, this article is born.  In it, we present the results of the analysis of the content posted by one of its objects of study, with the aim of giving the reader a sense of how, through the social dimension of the Gospel, the voice and demands of the poor are present in this new space of mission.

PhD in Theology from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), in Louvain, Belgium. Post-doctorate in Religious Sciences from the Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP), in Recife/PB, Brazil. Researcher at the Center for Communication and Theology Studies (NECT) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC-Minas), in Belo Horizonte/MG, Brazil. Professor at the São Paulo Institute of Higher Education (ITESP), in São Paulo/SP, Brazil.
