Abstract

The book on Catechesis from Vatican II to our days (LIMA, 2016) is the result of a long journey of research and, why not say, the synthesis of the entire academic and pastoral path of the author in question. In it we find an approach that has as its center of reflection the ecclesiology of the Second Vatican Council and its intimate relationship with catechesis. The author presents, with this publication at least in Brazilian territory, the novelty and originality that broadens the horizons of understanding the theme of catechesis, carrying out a historical journey between the European catechetical movement that culminated in Vatican II and its relationship with the Brazilian catechetical movement.
