Through brief and at the same time careful examination of the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas, this article aims to highlight how the author, when dealing with the notion of sacrifice in various parts of the work, allows working out an in-depth, giving a focus not only theological, but also anthropological. Showing the close relationship of these two aspects, it is proposed to draw the reflection the nexus between the deep human attitude in offering sacrifice to God and the one sacrifice of Christ, as perfect human expression of communion with God, accomplished once and for all and without ceasing celebrated in the Eucharist.Downloads
