The article discusses the relationship between cinema and history from the image of Abraham Lincoln in Young Mr. Lincoln (1939), from John Ford. For such, it analyses the presence of this character in the field of iconography, historiography and arts to work with its filmic specificity. At the same time, it points out the issues of the context that better contribute to understand its allegoric dimension.Downloads
