Abstract

For the fourth time in Brazil, John Downing, a British researcher and professor at Southern Illinois University - USA was in Recife in the second week of November 2008, to speak at the IV Citizen Media Meeting. Always critical of his position, Downing devoted 28 years of radical media research to those who want to change the course of history.
