Abstract

Based in an artistic practice that proposed the exchange of videoletter among young students of schools neighboring submarine cable stations in Fortaleza (Brazil), Sangano (Angola) and Salgar (Colombia), the text presents definitions related with media infrastructure and the debate around what could be the decolonization of the digital network. The proposal is to collaborate with a situated understanding of the internet in the Global South, explaining the geographies and territories where there is a presence of its infrastructures, highlighting its contrasts and contradictions.
