Abstract

Visões Perigosas is the book version of the doctoral thesis defended by the author Adriana Amaral, in 2005, in the PPGCOM - FAMECOS / PUCRS. The book brings a thorough exploration of various instances of cyberpunk. In this journey, Amaral separates the book into two main parts: the first one is dedicated to investigating the roots of cyberpunk before the term exists as the contemporary meaning and the second (and more extensive) investigates the instances that dialogue with the Western culture of the Postwar, the matrix of our contemporary culture.
