An unfinished map, by way of introduction, and eleven essays construct in this work the clues for a hunt for the treasures of geography. A quote from Marcel Proust, chosen as the epigraph of the book, is the starting point for the adventure: "A true journey of discovery is not to find new lands, but to have a new look." The new look here is not restricted to geographical studies. On the contrary, it incites transverse attitudes, transcending disciplinarities, as Morin proposes for the sciences of complexity.
