Author Biography

Gilbert Durand, Universidade de Grenoble II.

Professor de filosofia de 1947 a 1956, professor titular e professor emérito de sociologia e de antropologia da Universidade de Grenoble II, é co-fundador - juntamente com Léon Cellier e Paul Deschamps, em 1966 -, e atualmente diretor, do Centro de Pesquisas sobre o Imaginário (Centre de recherche sur l'imaginaire), bem como membro do Círculo de Eranos. Foi participante da Resistência Francesadurante a 2ª Guerra Mundial.
