Spiral of silence: A hypothesis to explain the oower strategy of PT in the Rio Grande do Sul

In this text the author examines the communication strategies adopted
by the Workes Party in the Rio Grande do Sul from the perspective
of the “Spiral of silence” hypothesis. He tries to show there is a significant
difference between its discourse of political transparency and its
practice of trying to keep its opponents’ mouths sut.
