Abstract

This work shows initiative developed by Rede Integração, broadcaster affiliated to Rede Globo in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, being the pioneer in offering an interactive broadcast to viewers. The appeal of interactivity indicates new paths of investment in content production by the broadcasters, but also presents technical and market challenges that need to be subjugated to succeed. The research presents the experience of the issuer in the quest for interactivity in television journalism through reports of officials involved in the process of building interactive television news, the company developing the software interactivity, HXD Interactive Television, researchers and professionals in the field of television.
