Abstract

Humberto Mauro, cinema, history is the junction of Eduardo Morettin's master's thesis and doctoral thesis, defended in 1994 and 2001, respectively, at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA / USP), with orientation By Ismail Xavier. Morettin is a historian and professor of Audiovisual History, at ECA / USP. In this work he develops a mixture of historiographical research with filmic analysis, in order to amplify the theme of the educational cinema of the Getúlio Vargas government, in addition to documentary mobilization.
