This paper reworks on questions related with the performance of the Brazilian feature film released in the theatrical market, in the years 2000-2009, whose box office did not reach the mark of 50 thousand spectators, in order to propose some reflections about a process of hegemonies and exclusion that seems to be settled in the contemporary Brazilian cinema.
