Itacolomi – a TV for Minas Gerais

This article presents an historical of TV Itacolomi, inaugurated in November 1955, in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, bearing the title of being the most modern station in Latin America at that time. The history of TV in Brazil, reported from the innovations and advances established in the Rio-Sao Paulo, is the most known and widespread among researchers. Therefore, this article seeks to shed light on another cut in the history of Brazilian television, as telling the media that conquered population appeared in other major capital. From the research literature and documents, and collection of testimonies of the pioneers of TV, then traced the history of that one who claimed to be the “TV of the mineiros”.Downloads
