Nietzsche's criticism of the mass culture

Contrary to Nietzsche, however, I would defend a more dialectic view - one that regards what I call media culture as a disputed territory, a place of social struggles that carries both reactionary and progressive, affirmative as well as oppressive elements - in relation to life."
