Things That are Behind Things

Spirituality. Technique. Modern World.Abstract
This article analyses the relation between spirituality and technique, based on the work of the thinker Umberto Galimberti. Technique brings about unfavorable consequences to spirituality inasmuch as existence is guided by projection, quantification, egocentrism and homo faber. It contains a mechanic vision of people as an object of the economic dealings. Bearing this in mind, it is necessary to revitalize spirituality, which means “living with the spirit”, so that people can find themselves in their infinitude and situate themselves in the world, assuming values that have been forgotten by technique.Downloads
