Abstract
Este artigo coloca a participação de Atanásio no Concílio de Nicéia o qual afirmou a divindade do Filho de Deus, gerado pelo Pai, Deus como o Pai é Deus. Ele tem presentes as palavras introduzidas no Credo Niceno como o Homooúsios, consubstancial, como também ek tês ousías, da substância, provenientes da filosofia, mas eram necessárias para confrontar a heresia ariana.
