Pedro de João Olivi OFM (1248 - 1298) três <i>Quaestiones Quodlibetales</i> sobre o Poder Papal na esfera temporal
Abstract
Pedro de João Olivi tratou do poder do Papa, levado, principalmente, por duas situações de conflito: quanto ao alcance do poder espiritual, devido aos debates sobre a pobreza dentro da Ordem franciscana e, nesse caso, foi dos primeiros a afirmar a “inerrabilidade” do Sumo Pontífice; a respeito de bens temporais, o que o levou ao estudo foi, no fundo, a crise da autoridade política eclesiástica, ante o surgimento dos novos Estados.

Abstract
Pedro de João Olivi has dealt with the power of the Pope, motivated specially by two conflicts: concerning the spiritual power, on account of the discussions about the poverty in the Franciscan Order and, in this case, he was almost the first declaring the inerrability of the Pope; regarding the worldly power or the jurisdiction related to the worldly goods he has studied it on account of the crisis of authority in the ecclesiastical politics in view of the new States.
