Abstract

Verifies the use of slideshow format in web journalism. From a study on the imaging technique and digital imaging, talks about the status of photojournalistic image in digital media. Examines narratives with images in web journalism, trying to analyze the slideshow format in this scenario. It is divided into three parts: 1) imaging technique, digital imaging and photojournalism; 2) web journalistic narratives with images; 3) Slideshow as news in web journalism. Among the authors referred are Vilém Flusser, Arlindo Machado, Jorge Pedro Sousa, Lucia Santaella and Winifried Nöth, Mindy McAdams and Miquel Alsina.

Raquel Ritter Longhi, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Professora no Curso de Jornalismo da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, onde atua na Graduação e no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Jornalismo. Graduada em Comunicação Social - Jornalismo pela Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (1985), com mestrado em Comunicação e Informação pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1998) e doutorado em Comunicação e Semiótica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2004).
