ABSTRACT – This study presents an analysis of the discursive practices, which are present in an extended education course for teachers. The purpose of this analysis was to understand the conceptions of the teachers/students about what it means to be a teacher and what teacher training means. Starting from a reflection about their own educational practice, we aim at understanding how such conceptions were built, for while deciphering them, we are able to break them up. The data was obtained from class registers, course conclusion studies and semi-structured interviews with the students. The self-experience proposed by Foucault, was our guide in the reflection about the results that point to changes in students positioning of self in relation to their life and work. Talking about their activities, professors and students are able to see that the course provoked attempts of transgression, after ques-tioning what is already established, said and thought.
Key-words – Formation of professors; classroom; subjectivity; practical of the speech.
