Abstract

For those who like opinionated journalism, Chronicle: the art of useful and futile is a must-read book, as it offers a historical overview of the chronicle from its origin, in literature, reaching current times in the press. The way reported by Wellington Pereira made the work indispensable to students of journalism and other areas interested in the subject, leaving as a suggestion that other postgraduate studies can be done around the genre, but investigating other mass vehicles, Such as radio and television.
