Abstract

This article is about the teacher selection process in educational institutions, the contributions of Human Resources in this process and some important concepts for this action, such as competence and experience. Some questions make us think on the subject, such as: How educational institutions select their teachers? There is, in educational institutions, a specific area that performs this process? The area of Human Resources, which is a more common area in organizational environments, and today is also present in educational institutions, may contribute to the selection process of teachers? There are competences defined for this selection? The experience is considered as responsible for teaching? These and other issues will be presented, discussed and analyzed seeking a better understanding of this subject and the influence of this factor in educational institutions, adaptation, qualification and performance of the teaching staff and, consequently, improving the educational
