This article aims to propose a questioning about the moral dimension addressed by the children’s literature in school education, intercrossed with the formation of the reader, as a subject in the educational act. It interrogates here the intensification of moral, in educational practices in the children’s literature loses its ethical-aesthetic potency to align with a proposition of moral doctrine. Through a theoretical-bibliographic research, philosophic, the argument is structured by Walter Benjamin’s perspective – through reference to the concept of experience – and Michel Foucault – with the understanding of moral as opposed to ethics and the o the conjunction with the notion of the Technologies of the Self, and the appropriation of Jorge Larrosa of the same concept.
