The Rise of the Annales and the New World Order.

Abstract

This article analyzes the epistemological, methodological, and ontological progress of the Annales School, mainly focusing on Pierre Renouvin’s concepts for the development of this line of thought. Moreover, it aims to contribute to the maturation of the debate on the relevance of the French School of International Relations and its contributions to understanding the relations among global actors through the insights of Bertrand Badie and his revolution in the face of the neo-neo hegemony of thought (Neorealism, Neoliberalism).
