Desigualdad de género, internacionalización y trayectorias académicas en la Ciencia Política: evidencia de Brasil y Uruguay

Resumen

Los estudios sobre la historia y configuración actual de la Ciencia Politica
en América Latina crecieron significativamente en los últimos años. No obstante, un aspecto ha sido poco explorado: la igualdad de género en la disciplina. Este artículo busca identificar diferencias de género en las trayectorias académicas de los investigadores en dos países: Brasil y Uruguay. El foco se pone en el grado de internacionalización de sus carreras académicas. La internacionalización se mide en dos dimensiones: formación académica en el exterior y publicación de artículos en revistas extranjeras. El análisis se basa en datos primarios relevados de los curriculum vitae (CV) publicados por el sistema nacional de investigación de cada país: Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq – Lattes) (Brasil) y Agencia Nacional de Investigación e Innovación (ANII-SNI) (Uruguay). La evidencia indica que en ambos casos las mujeres están sub-representadas en el y publican menos artículos (tanto en revistas nacionales como internacionales) que sus colegas hombres. Empero, los datos sugieren que no hay diferencias de género en el acceso a oportunidades de formación y publicación en el exterior, ni en cuanto a los países de destino.
